Ridley Jing

Hello again everyone!

Here comes the part two of my Bangkok Trip and it's also the last part of my travel vlog.
The main places that I visited in this vlog are Chatucak Weekend Market and the area around Siam Square. It was a very relax trip since I did not have any itinerary to follow. My friend kinda planned everything in her mind, so I just followed her to all the places.

Sometimes, travel without itinerary is good.
You get to see more things and sometimes you might discover new places too!

Hopefully my vlog will gives you all a little bit of help if you are planning to travel to Bangkok soon.
Of course there's still a lot of places which are yet to be explored by me, but soon... I will definitely travel to Bangkok again to explore more.

*I miss travelling now...and holidays. lol.*

See you all in my next post!

Hello everyone~
After back from Bangkok, I miss travelling even more.
I wish I can travel to more places within one year but I have a full time job to attend, so it's kinda impossible for me to enjoy travel with a longer period. Therefore, I really cherish all my travel moments.

Although this was my third time to Bangkok, everything was so new to me and there were so many new places popping up here and there. (Can see how fast a place developed in such a short time...lol)

This Bangkok trip was quite special because I went there with one of my colleague who are also my best friend (although my boyfriend joined in halfway...lol.). I seldom travel with friend actually, especially with only one friend, so it's kinda new for me but I was having so much fun because I could shop more since I have a friend next to me during this trip.

Lesson learned:
Must bring a girl's bestie if you are planning to go Bangkok because you can shop more with cheaper price and shop even more because you save more money from all your purchase with the wholesale price.

I also spent some time to edit my Bangkok Trip 2017 Travel Vlog. Although I only uploaded part one now, the second part is coming soon! Click on the below video to watch it:

*Note: We did not draft any itinerary for this trip because my friend was so familiar with Bangkok, lol. Basically, we just went to any places that we felt like wanted to go. Hope you all like my Travel Vlog.

*Note again: If you know how to use GRAB Car there, please use the app because sometimes it's cheaper and it's definitely more convenient to travel around in Bangkok.

See you all in my next post!

Hello everyone!
I just back from my Bangkok trip last week and would like to share something with you all, that's why I'm here typing on my keyboard again.

Due to work and also I was sick for few days, there was lack of updates in any of my social media after I was back from Bangkok. But I am feeling better now and I think it's time for me to share with you all about my trip. Of course I'm still editing my Bangkok Trip video, hope you all will look forward to it.

Since I went to Bangkok for 6 days 5 nights, I had a lot of free time to explore around other than just shopping. Thus, my friend and I decided to spend one day for cafe hopping around Ekkamai area in Bangkok.

First question, why Ekkamai?
My friend and I searched about the cafe that is worth visiting in Bangkok, and it turned out that most of the nice cafes are concentrated around Ekkamai area, so we just took BTS there and explored around the area.

And we came across this very unique cafe.
(UN) Fashion Cafe
The cafe is standalone building, and it's so cute and unique!

The area inside was kinda narrow and small, but it has two floors and the interior designs was so vintage and cozy! Everything were nice.

We found a place to sit at the end of the corner. The table setting was very simple and nice. Everything here were just cozy. It's really good to spend your afternoon time here as the weather out there was super hot in Bangkok.

Ordered two of their signature drinks. My friend ordered something called Thai Tea Latte and I ordered Strawberry Latte. Everything on the table just acted as a nice background for my drinks.

Strawberry Latte.

Since it's lunch hour when we visited there, so we ordered some food too. The dish that I ordered was the Carbonara. To be honest, the food here is quite common but the environment here is awesome.

We saw a lot of people ordered dessert, so we decided to order waffles for dessert. The waffle tasted great but the only thing I don't eat is banana. lol.

The portion of the food was quite big for me.

After finished the lunch, we kinda headed out from the cafe and decided to took some photos.

OOTD of the day!

It is a nice cafe. If you looking for some places to spend your afternoon at Bangkok, I definitely recommend you all to go for some cafe hopping. And when you do so, please do drop by this cafe if possible. Definitely worth a visit.

Address:
10 Soi Sukhumvit 63,
Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana,
Bangkok 10110, Thailand.

Operating Hours:
12:00 -21:00 pm (Everyday)

Hope you all like my sharing~

Hello people~
Finally I'm back from a very busy schedule.
For those who followed my social media platform, you should notice that I was away for travel during previous months. And after travel, I was busy with work and everything, etc etc...

Today, finally I have the time to sit down and update my 'long-time-no-update' blog.
Since I'm still drafting my trip post because I took too many photos, so it need some time for me to processed everything before present to you all.

For this preview post, I will post the vlog that I created not long ago. lol.

During September, I went to Thailand for a one week holiday. It was a 7 days trip and I went to two places, Hua Hin and Bangkok.

Hua Hin trip was very relax. To be honest, there's nothing much to do there. The hotel I booked was in the town, to go to other places, I have to rent a taxi, so it's quite inconvenient. The only places near my hotel is the Hua Hin Train Station, Hua Hin Night Market and the beach.

Anyway, please do enjoy the vlog for Hua Hin.

Then after Hua Hin trip, my bf and I went to Bangkok.
Personally I think I prefer Bangkok than Hua Hin because there's so many things to see in Bangkok!
The transportation at Bangkok is very convenient. Basically I can go to most of the tourist spots by taking public transport. I went to quite a lot of places, so it's better that I show you all the vlog.

The 7 days trip was very fun. I was happy that it ended nicely because my bf and I had planned for it since long time ago. I truly enjoy the trip because my bf and I put a lot of effort in planning it.

This is just a preview.
Later on, there will be more photos of the trip.

Stay tuned.
xoxo.

Whether you are considering a first or subsequent visits to Taiwan, there’s never a better time to tour the island than in 2015! Taiwan Tourism Bureau Kuala Lumpur (TTBKL) is organising its first-ever Taiwan Travel Fair in Malaysia. With the theme of “Time to Enjoy Life”, it will be held at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, where the public can get the best deals for Taiwan travel at this one-stop event from 25 to 29 March 2015.

With the first Taiwan Travel Fair, TTBKL hopes to present great value travel deals to Malaysian families. They have tied up with top Taiwanese and Malaysian travel agencies to offer a variety of exciting packages and the most attractive travel deals for all destinations in Taiwan. This also includes customised packages or tours specially-catered for Muslim visitors.

For visitors of the fair who purchase any tour package from participating agents, they stand a chance to participate in a lucky draw for every RM500 spent. Prizes include Taipei return flight tickets sponsored by China Airlines and Eva Airways; and East Asia cruise on Star Aquarius, Star Virgo and Aquarius liners sponsored by Star Cruises. So do make a date with us and visit the Taiwan Tourism Fair to bring back these fabulous prizes!

The Taiwan Travel Fair will be held at the Oval concourse in 1 Utama Shopping Centre from 25 to 29 March 2015. Opens 10 am daily. For more information, visit https://www.facebook.com/tbrockl !

Based on a survey conducted by Taiwan Tourism in 2012, the top attractions for inbound tourists are sights and sceneries, food and shopping. As such, the Taiwan Travel Fair will also highlight three major experiences under the theme of “Time to Enjoy Life”:

Time to Eat
When it comes to food, Taiwan has it all. Dine like royalty without paying a king’s ransom for it. From juicy seasonal fruits, sumptuous traditional Chinese dishes, healthy vegetarian dishes, icy desserts to creative tea drinks, Taiwanese cuisine makes full use of local ingredients and age-old techniques to surprise and satisfy your palate. Don’t forget the world-famous night markets, filled with the enticing aromas of delicious street food and snacks!

Time to Shop
Taiwan is a shopaholic’s dream come true, with many large shopping centres and chain department stores in all four corners of the island. Shop for anything you want, from high-quality made-in-Taiwan 3C products, to famous highland tea and handmade weavings. For the fashion lover, all kinds of affordable clothing, leather goods and branded products are at your fingertips. In Taiwan, you are sure to find just about everything you want.

Time to go on Two Wheels
These days, the LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) trend is gaining popularity as people begin to be more health and eco-conscious. Taiwan is well-known for its LOHAS practices, and there is no better way to experience it than to travel along the breath-taking coastal highways by bicycle! Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and appreciate the simple yet wonderful things in life with your loved ones.

~End~

Hello people!
Today I'm going to blog and join a contest to win a trip to Taiwan because I really want to revisit Taiwan again! I went to Taiwan 3 years ago and I don't think I explore enough for Taiwan during the previous trip. Always wanna go to Taiwan again but I gave myself to much excuse such as "No Time lah", "No Money lah", "Busy lah" and so on... So I ended up not going to Taiwan yet.

But as for today, I saw The Butterfly Project together with Taiwan Tourism Bureau Kuala Lumpur are having a blogging contest to send one of the butterfly to Taiwan... I was like: "OMG, I am definitely 100% joining this contest!" lol... All of the sudden become extra supportive towards this contest and of course I wanna earn my travel ticket too, an opportunity to travel to Taiwan.

So the above banner was posted at The Butterfly Project Facebook page. Basically there are 3 themes altogether, which are the Time to Eat, Time to Shop and Time for 2 Wheels (LOHAS Lifestyle). If you notice my blog post title, I will be using the Time to Shop theme because I really want to go and shop till drop there in Taiwan.

Why Taiwan?
During my young age, I watched a lot of Taiwan entertainment shows on TV. Therefore, I have my own concept about Taiwan which are... Taiwan has four season and its trends there are pretty much closer to Japan. LOL. As I grew "older", I realized that not only the fashion, beauty trend there were closer to Japan trend, I also noticed that their places, food and cultures there are nice too! During my last visits to Taiwan, I noticed that the people there were kind, polite and helpful. So that's why I wanna revisit Taiwan to explore more.

Why Shop?
Which girl don't like to shop? lol. Well, I'm the kind of girl that likes to shop a lot. Although I didn't buy a lot at a time (because I don't wanna spend all my salary, lol), still I buy the things that I want the most especially shirts, dresses and beauty products. When I saw the photos of my friends went to Taiwan and the things they bought, I was so jealous and I hope I was there in Taiwan together with them and shop. So if you ask me what will I do when I'm at Taiwan, the answer will be shop then eat a lot of nice food.

Which place I wanna visit the most!
1. Xi Men Ding
source
During my last visit, I stayed at Xi Men Ding. It's a very cheerful place full of tourists and locals. And most importantly it's a shopping paradise! At there, you can easily shop for clothes, dresses, shoes, souvenirs, bags, beauty products and a lot more! I still remembered I bought a lot of cosmetics at SaSa and a hypermarket kind of place at there. If you are hungry, there's a lot of shop to hunt for good food. Even during night time, the place still crowded with people, you can simply spot some street food there while you walking down the street.

Even during night time, the place still crowded with people, you can simply spot some street food there while you walking down the street. Above picture taken during night time at Xi Men Ding with my sister three years ago.

2. Taipei 101 Mall

Another place to shop! But a bit pricey. For me, Taipei 101 Mall is more towards a tourist attraction. People went there for sightseeing more because you can go up to the top of the mall and look at the beautiful scenery, especially the night scenery.

Here's an example. lol.
As you can see the view up here at Taipei 101 Mall is so pretty, especially at night when all the lights were lit up! It's a must visit place there in Taiwan. After the visit, you can shop in the mall for more branded stuffs. lol. I didn't buy lot of stuffs there but there's a lot places around the mall that I visited and mostly were shopping malls. lol. I also visited a large bookstore around that area and I bought a lot of books there because it was way cheaper than the book price in Malaysia.

3. Wufenpu Clothes Market

source
Didn't get any old photos for this one. I kinda regret during my previous visit to Wufenpu because on the day I visited the place, most of the shops were only available for bulk purchase. Individual purchase was at another day, so I didn't get the chance to buy much from there. Therefore, I definitely wanna visit Wufenpu again in the coming Taiwan trip to shop for nice clothes in cheaper price! I wanna explore more because it's a big place and heaven for a shopaholic like me.

4. Night Markets

I definitely wanna go all the night markets in Taiwan. There are few very famous night markets in Taiwan such as Shilin Night Market, Raohe Night Market, Shida Night Market and so on!

source
It's a must go place in Taiwan, the Night Markets. Whenever people talked about Taiwan, they will mention about the night markets there. I went to Shilin Night Market before, and you couldn't believe the crowd there and the amount of stalls there which are selling various kind of foods and drinks. At Shilin Night Markets, most of the stalls sell food. However, I heard that Shida Night Market is selling foods and some clothes too, maybe I should visit Shida Night Market on the next Taiwan trip. Shop at night markets in Taiwan is one of the must must night activities that you don't wanna miss out.

There's still more that I want to explore in Taiwan other than only shop and eat. I can say that Taiwan is a nice place to visit, whether you are there for shopping, food, lifestyle or sightseeing, it's a suitable place. Hope that I can gain another opportunity travel ticket to Taiwan again for more explorations and shopping!
