Was so stressed because everyone blogged about NNComic2012! I think I'm the last to blog about the gathering. sob sob~~
Well, I attended the first Nuffnang Comic Blogger Gathering 2012(NNComic2012) on 10th November 2012 although I'm not a comic blogger. Thanks to Chee Ching(http://www.cheechingy.com/) for letting me attend the gathering because I do not know how to draw a comic. LOL. Thanks to her sincerely.(T.T)
Firstly, thanks to Nuffnang for organizing such a great gathering. I was able to meet so many awesome people during this gathering.
The gathering started with Ernest(http://dontlikethatbro.blogspot.com/) giving a talk about how he started his comic blog. He gave us some tips on how to be a comic blogger. The things i learned from him was, "Constantly Updates" because your reader is your big betrayer! Yup, I personally agree with that because your reader will leave if your blog die for few weeks. ( I experienced that.)
Next speaker was Chee Ching(http://www.cheechingy.com/). Love her blog so much because her drawing is soooooo cuteeeee. She did a very fast and nice presentation. Seriously a very short presentation. Well, she gave some very good tips too such as how to make your comic's hero more recognizable by having the same outfits in every post.
Live-demo by Ernest and Chee Ching. Chee Ching start the illustration by drawing Shahzeeq using a mouse and Adobe Illustrator. Chee Ching's drawing skill was awesome and super fast! Totally surprised towards her drawing speed. Then Ernest started modifying the picture by adding an ostrich. And the ostrich said "Brah!" in the picture because Chee Ching requested for it. LOL.
After that was FOOOOOOD!
Everyone was hungry I guess...Thanks Caffeine for serving us the food and drinks. I think i ate a lot of sandwiches that day because i was hungry.
Then I saw many people gathered there because everyone wants a caricatures draw by Ernest and Chee Ching. Everyone had their photo frame because they were the winner to get the invitation except me i think... sob sob. "No choice lo, who ask me dunno how to draw. Hahahaha..."
But still.....
Just to show off a bit la... Thanks to Mi Yen(http://missymiyen.blogspot.com/) for suggesting me to ask them draw on a paper for me. And thank god i brought a small notebook with me on that day. Chee Ching drew a cute version of me on that day. Love it so much!
Of course Ernest drew a caricature for me also. Loved his drawing style too. Thank you~

She spoke to me first i think?!!(lol, I'm a shy girl) She's friendly and fashionable. I thought she was studying some design-related course at first but nope... Again, same like what she mentioned in her blog, I hung out with her most of the time during the gathering, kinda like old friends already. lol...

I was so surprised when she asked me why no take photo with her suddenly maybe because i didn't talk to her on that day? I had no choice but to take out my phone and take photo with her.(0.0) (=.=) But still, nice to know you and your doodle and drawing are cute.

Stole this photo from his blog too! (Sorry ah...) He told me he's a lifestyle blogger and of course i stalked his blog. What i saw was he intro everyone he met during the gathering! Me so stress after reading his blog about the gathering because me shy, not brave enough to talk to other people. (>.<)
Anyway, I intro till here because i don't have photo with other people.(T.T) But still nice to know you all.
The gathering ended with a talk by Sarah Joan Mokhtar(http://sarah-joan.blogspot.com/). She's a cartoonist with 15 years-experience. She shared her experiences with us and I seriously appreciated it. She told us to start a comic blog at the end of the talk but i don't know how to draw and can't even draw nicely, what should i do then?XD I think I will stick with lifestyle blog~
Lastly not to forget CAFFEine~ Thanks for providing us such a nice place. Love their interior design, definitely a good place to enjoy tea time? or coffee time.
